Wreck Diving

Have you ever wanted to explore more of a wreck? Wonder what is like being inside a wreck underwater? Many of the ocean's best dive sites have artificial reefs, or wrecks that have sunk through the ages. This program gives you the skills and knowledge required to safely scuba dive above and around these underwater treasures.

Course Content:

  •  Navigating Wreck
  •  Use of safety lines and other specialized equipment
  •  Planning and carrying out a penetrating wreck dive
  •  Hazards with diving in overhead environments


  •  Must be at least 10 years old (depth limits apply for junior divers)
  •  Certified Open Water Diver or equivalent

What Do I Need:

  •  Current (within ONE year), completed medical form. If you have any “YES” answers, you MUST have a physician sign off prior to any in water work.
  •  Total Dive System (Rental equipment is available but not included in course fees)
  •  Lights (Primary, Back-up and marker light) , Reel and SMB


  •  AquaTrec Classroom

Training Materials:

SSI Digital Wreck Diving Materials: Complete all quizzes with a score of 100% before you arrive to class.
You must pass the final exam with a score of 80% or higher.

Training Dives:

  •  Two training dives are required for certification.

Class Fees:

  •  Total Cost for the class is $165
  •  Includes: Instruction, Instructor fees, Training dives, Digital Online Wreck Diving Materials, Certification & Digital Certification Card
